Exemptions granted under the Lobbying Act

The Commissioner of Lobbying granted Mr. Guy Bujold an exemption from the five-year prohibition on lobbying, effective November 5, 2008, for the following reasons:

• He acted as Interim President of the Canadian Space Agency until such time as a new President was appointed;
• The organization with which he is associated will not gain unfair commercial advantage by virtue of his previous functions with the Canadian Space Agency;
• His previous experience as Assistant Deputy Minister does not impact on the granting of the exemption since the applicant will leave his substantive position before January 2, 2009.
