René Leblanc was appointed Deputy Commissioner of Lobbying in February 2010. He has held various positions in the federal public service since 1984. Prior to joining the Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying, he was Director of Corporate Planning and Risk Management at Human Resources and Skills Development Canada since 2007. He holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Relations with a specialization in Economics. René has acquired a broad range of experience during his career in the public service, including in the areas of social, economic and industrial public policy, as well as in fostering management accountability through corporate planning, reporting and risk management.
